- Mainly a java class, learning how to structure problems and work them into code

- Create dynamic web applications that provide a public face to the federal government's alternative energy inititaves
- Interact with many teams focused on different projects
- Create api frameworks to give developer access to data and calulations
- Develop an energy analytics front end interface for use on a 70" touchscreen.
- Craft API driven javascript powered applications to visualize data aggregations.

- Write web applications from start to finish, understanding how all the code works together
- Work on pre-existing code to implement new features, refactor sections and fix bugs
- Work with other people within our company and from other firms to complete tasks
- Take PSD's from the designers and turn them into Rails web applications
- Create WordPress Themes from Design to Finish
- Work with clients to figure out what they need and the best way to achieve their goals
- Move data from spreadsheets and CSV sources into databases, and back out again.
- Make rake tasks and generate reports for data transfer
- Experience with mysql, postgresql and mongodb databases

Ruby on Rails is the primary framework I have learned to use, where most of my days are spent in Rails applications.

A considerable amount of my focus has been on the front end of rails apps, developing strong HTML skills.

My current role has me working on the front end a majority of the time. I have written large applications with backbone and angular. I have experience using Yeoman and Grunt to make building and developing Javascript applications a much smoother process.

I develop from the command line with vim and tmux. This has expanded my ability to work in a unix/linux environment.
